Confusion in word by word and word by doc

I am having a problem with this:

how did we come up with the values 2, 1,1,0 ?

In the first sentence, ‘data’ is 0 distance away from ‘simple’ but in the second sentence ‘data’ is 1 distance away from ‘simple’, how come we had 2 there? Similarly, ‘data’ is 3 distance away from ‘I’ how is it labeled ‘0’?

Hi @Muhammad_Bilal_Hanee

Here values are the counts:

  • simple = 2, because there are two instances where “data” is within two words distance (in particular [“like simple data”, “simple raw data”]);
  • raw = 1, because there is one instance where “data” is within two words distance (in particular [“simple raw data”]);
  • like = 1, because there is one instance where “data” is within two words distance (in particular [“like simple data”]);
  • I = 0, because there is none “data” within two words from “I”.

Cheers
