Course Q&A Deep Learning Specialization Sequence Models

Hi,

I am enrolled in the Deep Learning Specialization and have completed the first two courses:

  1. Neural Networks and Deep Learning
  2. Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization

For personal requirements, can I skip to “5. Sequence models” first and later come back to courses 3 (" Structuring Machine Learning Projects") and 4 (" Convolutional Neural Networks")?

Will it cause a break in the flow or result in difficulty in comprehension? Any guidance would be helpful.

Yes, it’s totally fine to skip to course 5. Did the same myself after completing first 2 courses.

After the 1st and 2nd courses, take the 3rd course as it is about general advice on implementing ML and not covers any specific technique, hence no graded assignments (only quizzes). After that, you can take 4th or 5th in any order you prefer.

I recommend you attend Course 4, as it contains a lot of material on Tensor Flow that you’ll need for Course 5.
