Error matplotlib.pyplot

I am running ‘Model Representation’ lab in Anaconda Jupyter platform and I get error while importing matplotlib.

Hey @Seemab_Hassan,
Welcome to the community. The labs are designed to run on Coursera Labs, and running them on local machines might produce errors like above, which are mainly caused due to the difference in the versions of the packages used. Hence, I advise you to run the labs in Coursera environment only, but if you want to run them locally, you may set up a virtual environment with the same version of packages that are installed in the Coursera environment. I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Elemento

Thanks for letting me know. Can you please let me know the versions used, so I can use them to do other similar tasks on my local machine to test my learning? Currently, I am auditing the course and found the labs on the internet.

Hey @Seemab_Hassan,
The versions of the packages used differ from time-to-time. Though, most of the packages used in the assignments are common, it might also be possible that different packages are required for different assignments. So, preparing the list of packages and their versions is a tedious task.

Additionally, the labs that you found on the Internet are in violation of Coursera’s Honor Code, which you can find here. In here, it’s explicitly mentioned that:

You may not share your solutions to homework, quizzes, or exams with anyone else unless explicitly permitted by the instructor. This includes anything written by you, as well as any official solutions provided by the course staff.

Being a mentor, I won’t like to be in support for that, and I am pretty sure, the other mentors will clearly do the same. So, I urge you strongly to enrol in the course, and then do the assignments. I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Elemento
