Feeling Lost with Lab Code

Hi everyone,

I’m a data analyst looking to expand my knowledge in Data Engineering, cloud, and related topics, and I thought this course would be a good fit. The videos are generally engaging and helpful, and I can understand the theoretical parts well. I also complete the labs with 100% scores and do well on the quizzes. However, when it comes to the labs, even though I manage to finish them within the given time, I find that I don’t really understand about 80% of the content. Most of the time, I’m just replacing “None” values, but I don’t fully get the rest of the code.

I feel like I’m not learning as much as I should because if I had to create these formulas or repeat the steps on my own, I wouldn’t know how. I’m not sure if this is normal at this stage of the course (I’ve completed C2W2), but it’s starting to demotivate me a little.

Any advice or similar experiences? Thanks!

Yes, it’s normal.

Further study and experience on your part is necessary to get really comfortable with creating your own solutions.

So do you recommended me to finish the course or not? I don’t know if it’s going to improve in the next weeks

Yes, certainly finish the course. You only get past the feeling of uncertainty if you keep learning and gaining experience.
