How thoroughly should I understand the labs in Course 1? Right now, I’m mainly just following the instructions—typing commands, creating databases, S3 buckets, vector databases, etc. However, I don’t fully grasp how these are being set up or how GLUE ETL processes are executed. I want to know what the expectations are for Course 2. Should I continue following the instructions, or is there additional self-study required?

I suggest that as you go through the labs, you focus on understanding the different tools and commands used. However, don’t feel pressured to grasp all the inner workings of each element right away. Aim for a general outline, and you can always dive deeper into each topic as needed. Regarding the expectations for Course 2, rest assured that the team has worked hard to provide thorough instructions in all the labs across all courses.
