Sorry, I’m a first-year student in Viet Nam - a developing country. I’m curious about AI and am determined to learn all knowledge from DeepLearning.AI. But my family isn’t wealthy, how can I have financial aid for their courses ? I can’t find any financial aid support on DL Specialization, ML Specialization and Mathematics for ML and DS, just access the audit courses such as AI For Everyone, Neural Network and Deep Learning. Thanks for your answer.
hi @KhanhKira
did you raise issue at the coursera learner help center? explain your issue to them and ask them with course mention name and also inform them you aren’t able to apply for financial aid as when you open the course page in coursera, it shows free trial.
Also did you try to click on the free trial because that would have given you the 3 courses the specialisation includes where you could have got financial aid option or free trial.
even if you click free trial, you can always click on the course and unrolled in the course, if you don’t want to continue on free trial.
Thanks for your support, I will reply to you when I follow all your instructions
@KhanhKira Dear as you are the first year student do the following
- Check whether your University as a tie up with the coursera. If yes then you can go with the course as per the University. The courses are completely free.
- If you are aware of the basic of AI and ML what I suggest is to go for the Basic Python courses first before moving to these courses.
- Now coming to the financial aid
Coursera previously offered 100% financial aid for its courses, allowing learners to access content and earn certificates at no cost.
However, recent changes have reduced the maximum financial aid to 90%, requiring learners to cover the remaining 10% of the course fee.
You can also check with coursera help support as mention by @Deepti_Prasad
Thanks
Dr. Prashant
Thanks for your help, I have another question: if the Deep Learning Major course has 5 sub-courses and I apply for financial aid for each course, will I have to pay 10% for each of those courses or for all sub-courses?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide direct support for financial aid. However, Coursera’s Learner Help Center is your best resource.
Look for their financial aid section, where you’ll find details on financial aid, eligibility, and the application process.
We’re here to help if you have other questions about the DeepLearning.AI community!
@KhanhKira As mention by @Community-Team this you have to check with the coursera help support. They can provide you the entire guide for your queries.
I know you have the curiosity of doing the courses. But its better to follow the proper channel for this. https://www.coursera.support/s/article/209819033-Apply-for-Financial-Aid-or-a-Scholarship?language=en_US
same problem for me as well, did u get any reply from Coursera.
I have found, the finacial aid don’t appear above the course interface. You have to scroll down to the bottom page. And see its.
Thank You
This is a common Problem. I also had faced the same Problem
You can solve it easily. Just download the coursera mobile app. Then search for the same course. You will see financial Aid option in it. That Problem is a glitch in the website of Coursera. Just use the mobile app to access the financial aid. Then again use your pc/ laptop to complete the course
