If anyone here has experience in AI or has gone through a similar learning journey, I’d greatly appreciate your insights and recommendations. I’m eager to learn and would be grateful for any guidance on structuring my learning path.
Hey @Mr.Smile , being a beginner myself I can try and help on how I kinda started.
First you can get Coursera, they have multiple courses on various AI topics including courses from DeepLearning.AI, they are really nice and you can add your certificates on LinkedIn.
The key areas to focus, I think it depends a lot on what you like within AI. If you have a broad preference I would (in your case) just explore different topics and see which ones I like the most.
You can start with beginner projects, as in for example if you like automation (just like me) you can start for example with a spam email classifier, you can check my GITHUB and check the one I made so you can have an idea.
I would say that Machine Learning Engineering is on the rise. You can do a lot with it, you can go for data science, do research, NLP, and so many others. Again, it really depends on what you like.
To find mentors, you can try (maybe) on this platform or linkedIn, just search for groups within AI, check what top voice people are saying there and connect, don’t be scared to send them a message, they were probably in your shoes before. You can try local communities where you live, events or conferences.
