can somebody explain it to me that how is instructor calculating both the mean and median of this distribution ? I will be greatful if any one of you can share the calculation behind this result too.

For the mean, we multiply a k value (e.g. 2) with its probability (e.g. 0.3087), and we repeat this for all k values and their probabilities. Since there are 6 k values, we will get 6 multiplication results, and finally we add all these results up.
