Job market impact

Hello guys!
All this AI may seem cool for some of you.
But to me it all is so scary when i try to learn it.
I only think of billion of jobs that will belost and billions of peoples left with no means for survival.
Do you even think of this too?

The introduction of new technology always changes the economics of a society. It’s not “better” or “worse”, just different.

In short term, there may be job losses and challenges, but I think that is a required change, new things evolve, new avenues, new jobs will be born. Android phone has created social media influencers, democratised the art of film making, reduced time and effort to do things that used to be done for hours and days togather. Its inevitable, lets embrace the change and evolve into a new beautiful world.

No, when the society becomes very affluent it has to change its way of treating people too, otherwise it will risk rebellion to the detriment of everybody, especially the rich.

In time people will concentrate towards jobs that deal with creativity, such as art, inventions, innovations, or playing games so they don’t feel boredom. Things which the machine is not capable of doing!

I agree with what Copilot says:

“AI is fascinating to study — but it’s also unsettling. Beyond the technical challenge lies a deeper concern: the potential loss of billions of jobs and the disruption of entire industries. Are we confronting this reality as we learn?”

Jeremy Rifkin raised this concern in The End of Work (1995), predicting that automation would shrink the labor force and force society to redefine work itself. Today, AI is accelerating that shift — automating not only physical labor, but also cognitive and creative tasks.

The fear is real. But the future isn’t fixed.

As learners and future practitioners, we have a role to play in shaping how AI unfolds. That means:

  • Supporting inclusive education and reskilling

  • Designing AI to augment human capabilities, not replace them

  • Exploring ideas like Universal Basic Income to ensure no one is left behind

  • Prioritizing ethics, empathy, and equity in every project we build

The future of work is being rewritten — and we’re holding the pen. With roots in QA and manufacturing, I’m thinking hard about how we preserve the human touch in an AI-driven future.
