Lab exercises are taking forever to load

I want to mention that i am literally unable to open any lab on the course portal, The same is happening for Document AI short course. The loading of jupyter notebooks never stops…..

I request the course team to kindly look through the issues.

I am opening the labs on Google Chrome and Windows OS.

Did you try to clean your cache and browsing history?

For me it usually takes 15 to 20s to load, sometimes it takes 30-45s.

I didn’t cleaned cache or browsing history in chrome, instead i downloaded another browser Firefox and tried to open the labs on it. But unfortunately it didn’t worked.

Two or three days before the labs were loading but very late. Now its not even loading.

Did it improved for you after clearing the cache?

yes it does.

I also check if my browser is updated, when I encounter such issues.

Ok I cleared all browsing history , all cache and all cookies…but labs are still not loading.
I dont know how could i clear the certification without labs.

Don’t worry, I am going to let know staff your issue.

@lesly.zerna can you please look at the learner’s issue. he hasn’t been able to open his lab.

Thank you for reporting! I’m checking in chrome, safari and firefox in Mac and it is loading

@bitbiased from which region are you connecting?

@Mubsi would you help us checking this reported issue?

@lesly.zerna

his profile shows india, I don’t know which region of India but lately even for me internet was issue (North India), when labs were not opening. Luckily since Christmas time everything is working fine for me but November I had same issue.

@lesly.zerna @Deepti_Prasad thanks for replying. I am from North India. Internet should not be an issue as the connection is fairly good (100mbps)

The issue is, the lab work (the notebooks) are not loading almost for any course for me , it starts loading with this screen….which continues for like 4 to 5 min ….

and then ends with this screen.

Previously this message of connection refusal didn’t displayed …it used to be ended up with bank screen …but now this connection refusal message starts to display

This lab screenshot is captured from Document AI course Lab 1. Previously i reported the issue in lab 1 for RAG course.

To me this seems like an issue with your internet provider, or perhaps some security software that you have on your computer.

are you using any company provided system or laptop?

check once your firewall settings, if you have blocked any features in the settings.

@Mubsi is the person now who needs to look if all of the pointers aren’t the issue

Team, I don’t know how , but the notebooks are now loading and displaying successfully.

Since last 4 or 5 days I was facing this issue and somehow it seems to be resolved for now. I did nothing from my side (No tweaks to antivirus/firewall or ISP)

@Deepti_Prasad @TMosh I am using this on my personal Laptop and at present i cannot clearly identify the real cause. Should the issue reoccur in the future, I will provide an update in this thread.

I sincerely appreciate the assistance and support @Deepti_Prasad @TMosh @lesly.zerna . Active involvement from your side provided much-needed reassurance. Thank you .

just heads up rag course is really great course, explore the labs and remember some labs while working can have kernel connection issue, so always save your work.

I enjoyed this course especially all the different techniques of nlp were explained really exquisitely.

I am telling you in daytime even I have issue opening these labs but post 12 midnight to 6 a.m. labs open instantly for me, so I worked on labs in early hours between 4 -6 a.m.

The RAG course is indeed a super one, I am enjoying the in-depth ground up approach taken by the instructor. I’m heading to complete it by the end of next week along with the Document AI course. And i will surely keep your insights regarding the labs in mind.:+1:
