Learning in the Right Order to get to "Natural Language Processing” Specialization

Hello Mentors,

I completed the “DeepLearning.AI TensorFlow Developer” specialization earlier.

I’d like to eventually do NLP. That’s what I’m very interested in.

Would you recommend that I complete this Course Specialization “Deep Learning” first … BEFORE proceeding with the Course Specialization “Natural Language Processing”?

Hi, @ehom. I am not familiar with the TensorFlow Developer Specialization, so hopefully others that are will offer their views. My strong predilection though, is to indeed take the Deep Learning Specialization. My guess is that will gain a deeper (no pun!) understanding of the more foundational aspects of deep learning, as well as offering you another look at NLP in Course 5. Your exposure to TensorFlow will help you along in that part of the Specialization, too. Reinforcing and expanding upon your knowledge base is always a good idea (time permitting), especially in DL. If you find a particular course too redundant to hold your interest, you can always stop before the seven-day trial period expires, and move on to the next course. --@kenb
