My name is Yasmeen Asaad, and I hold a BSc in Computer Science (class of 2019). And Iām looking for a unpaid Machine Learning internship or mentorship.
Iām based in Egypt. I completed a 9-month ML training program in 2021 and then worked for 2.5 years as a Data Engineer in banking before transitioning fully into ML. I delivered 6 ML projects on Upwork, recently finished the Deep Learning Specialization, and currently work at Turing on LLM evaluation and model improvement tasks.
However, my current role leans more toward AI training, while my goal is to become a strong ML engineer.
In my spare time, I participate in Kaggle competitions and study from the Deep Generative Modeling book. But I still feel I need real ML engineering exposure, working with real-world datasets, building pipelines, optimizing models, and most importantly, receiving technical feedback. With how much the field has changed recently, I want to ensure Iām growing in the right direction.
I would really appreciate any support or advice from this amazing community.
Iām dedicated, committed, and I learn fast.
If anyone here is open to mentoring, offering a short internship, or even sharing guidance, I would be extremely grateful.
