Machine Learning SVM concept covered anywhere?

Hello, I’m now starting the third course in the ML specialization series and I’m a bit disappointed to see that Support Vector Machine is still not covered in course 3 according to the syllabus. May I ask if I can find it in any other classess offered on Coursera or DeepLearning.AI? Thanks

Hey @zhexingli,
Welcome, and we are glad that you could be a part of our community  I don’t think that the SVM concept is covered in any of the existing offerings of DeepLearning.AI. As to why this is done, you may check out this thread.

As for Coursera, definitely, you can find that out in various courses. You can look for courses on Machine Learning, and I am sure, you will be able to find some. You can also check out YouTube to gain an understanding about SVMs, for instance, you may check this video out. I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Elemento

Thank you. Yeah as I learned later SVM really is no use any more given we’re having NNs already. Thank you so much for replying!
