Redlines and Markdown

Hi
Following the course. The Redlines for the text differences and output in markdown (lesson “Transforming”) is not working for me in Google Colab.
I tried pip! install Redlines but didn’t do anything. Same with pip! install Markdown

There may be other ibraries that are needed and not being installed. Are you getting any errors when installing redlines?

As a reference, I was able to use redlines in my local computer.

I was also able to install the package on my MacOS, though I can’t remember now if I used pip or conda to get it there. I manage packages from the command line, not from inside a notebook, so that is one difference. Also, I notice that the OP writes pip! and not !pip though maybe that is a forum typo and not cut and paste of what was executed in Colab?

I’m running on Colab, not on my PC.
I’m new to Colab and to Python… I’m literally learning as I do this course.
Here the snapshot with the Redlines package that went fine… however, in the cell below, results show no effect ??

Can you also share your text and prompt ?

I’m wondering if there is collision between the structured summary and the redline markup?

For comparison, maybe try just the markup on its own? Here is my prompt for that

prompt = f"proofread and correct this review: ```{text}```"

which generates…
