Cell #2 in the notebook for the second ungraded lab (Retrieval metrics) is not executing because of an HTTP error, as shown in the two screenshots below. Please advise as to how this error can be fixed. The screenshots only include the cell and the top and bottom of the error stack because otherwise the screenshots would have been very long. The second screenshot also shows what happens when you try to run the next cell. I have not changed the code in either cell.
did you encounter this error in course platform or locally? running the codes?
testing my account only. thank u
This was encountered in the course platform.
I’m also facing the same issue on cell#2 HTTPError: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden on C1M2 retrieval-metrics ungraded lab - Coursera | Online Courses & Credentials From Top Educators. Join for Free | Coursera
Did any of try cleaning the cache and browsing history and then run the codes again? or try a different browser?
I just run down last week this code and didn’t encounter any issue.
Although I have informed the staff here to look upon
I am running into the same issue. I am running in the course platform and getting HTTPError: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden for that call
I am also facing the same issue. I am running lab notebook in Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) course in the https://learn.deeplearning.ai/ and getting HTTP 403 Error.
I had the same issue; however was able to download manually and run it (The data might not be the same as expected in the lab); however it does help to see the notebook being processed. Details in the following post:
I have the same issue. Please suggest a fix. Thanks!
I know you are not the l.t. for this course but can you please look into the issue, or escalate someone who can address this issue. i already have tagged @lesly.zerna but probably because of holidays she is not available yet I guess
THANKYOU
DP
Hi all,
We are aware that some of the models being used are now no longer available. But due to the holidays, the bandwidth is not yet available to apply changes to the notebooks.
We would appreciate your patience, as team will start looking into this starting next week.
Thanks,
Mubsi
just to let you know even I did this course just few days back in December only (ater testing) but didn’t encounter this error.. I ran all labs perfectly fine.
Regards
DP
I know. This is a recent development, happened in the last couple days.
Nope, it been like that for a week. I wanted to spend time on holidays learning about RAG, that’s why I’ve been checking if it’s been corrected almost every day since I had the problem. As a paid user, will this be redeemed somehow? I know there are other courses and that I can continue the RAG course without the code trainings… but I didn’t pay for that.
Hi @jaimepm,
I understand your point of view, and I might be mixing the timeline on when this happened. But unfortunately, the timing of this happening is not ideal. It happened during the winter break, when almost all of the staff is out of office, particularly the people who are appointed to maintain the course.
Please allow us some time in the coming week to look into this and apply the appropriate changes.
As for redeeming, if after applying the changes next week things are still inconvenient for you, please reach out to me.
Thanks,
Mubsi
Hi all!
The error is due a bug in the dataset scikit-learn download function. I updated in Coursera and I’m updating it in our Learning Plaftorm. In coursera, you can just open and close the lab item and the issue should be resolved.
Let me know if the issue persists.
Lucas
