hello world, what do you do after studying ML by yourself? In my case I have started this as self study journey, have started from CS50AI, Fast.ai (part 1), ML specialization, short course in deeplearning.ai about transformers and Attention. And I was eager to contribute and land Internship or start to work with this field I liked. But the internships itself requires you internship before it, So I was like to know if someone on the same boat, what are you doing after finish ML specialization or any course, how do you plan to land internship or proceeding in this journey by yourself ?
The Short Courses and the beginner-level ML courses are not sufficient to land an internship.
To stand out from the crowd of ML beginners, you can only gain additional experience in other ML areas, other algorithms and methods. There are lots of courses available, and lots of places (for example, Kaggla and Colab) where you can gain experience and reputation.
Thanks for replay, the thing about notebooks learning .. is I feel overwhelmed by the whole notebook (data and algorithms) even tho the authors of this notebooks are explaining well, but notebook reading + trying to comprehend a new concepts from it, is overwhelming for me, and I’m feeling like I’m just reading it and follwing them without much understanding. So do you have any other road/way that will help me proceed into this
Sorry, no I do not.
NP,Thank you.
You adviced me before to complete Deep Learning Specilization. Is this will enhace me in the field and specficly chances in Internships?? Or will not gurante internship after this 5 courses(DLS).And is this course practical not only theortical, that will make you famillar with notebooks in kaggle& in real world?
Only ML & DL specilizing thing I have took is ML Specilization. That’s maybe why I’m feeling it seems this ML not easy.
Sorry, I cannot give career advice.
I will only say that the more skills you learn, and more experience you gather, the more employable you will be.
Hi @m_emara,
For securing internships and good offers, aside from completing courses, it’s essential to start with small projects on platforms like Kaggle. From there, work on real-world problems to enhance your skills. Begin with your foundational knowledge, and as you progress, improve your models at each stage by learning from other sources as needed. This approach will help you gain genuine experience in working on projects.
Thank You
