Week 1

lab-1-generative-ai-use-case-summarize-dialogue

I am trying to start lab on AWS. I was able to login. When I get to “Amazon SageMaker AI”, I expected to see “Studio” in the left panel. Instead I get error messages.

Failed to create domain: can’t determine the default VPC.

You are not authorized to perform this operation. User: arn:aws:sts::247340714400:assumed-role/voclabs/user3818811=Abhinav_Kumar is not authorized to perform: ec2:DescribeVpcs with an explicit deny in an identity-based policy

Failed to create domain: can’t create SageMaker execution role.

User: arn:aws:sts::247340714400:assumed-role/voclabs/user3818811=Abhinav_Kumar is not authorized to perform: iam:CreateRole on resource: arn:aws:iam::247340714400:role/service-role/AmazonSageMaker-ExecutionRole-20250205T144308 because no identity-based policy allows the iam:CreateRole action

Can you try opening the labs from incognito mode on the browser. If still the problem is there, can you post a screenshot.

Although it showed that error, I was able to click on “Studio” button and reach the jupyter notebook.

Please try running the lab and check its functionality. In case of any issues, let us know or attach a screenshot.
