Hello all,
Hoping to find a simple solution. When I open the notebook in browser for this assignment, it opens as read only. I cannot save a different version with a new name. If it helps, I also have trouble connecting to a kernel, though this issue resolves after 2 or 3 attempts. As the file is not savable, I cannot submit nor move to assignment C3W2B.
Hi @Christian_Grundman ,
This problem has been reported to course staff, and the team is working on it. An update will be posted when the problem is resolved.
Hi @Christian_Grundman ,
Please follow the instruction from this link as a workaround to the problem.
Hi @Kic ,
The work around works. I was glad to that the assignment submits and the next assignment (Pix2Pix) unlocks. The nest assignment also does not seem to have a permissions issue and runs and saves normally.
I want to comment on a couple of issues in case anyone else has this problem or if it illuminates troubleshooting efforts by the team. Opening the notebook directory, I see three files which are copies of the original notebook that I traied to create and named what I tried to name them (C3W2_Assignment-Copy1, C3W2_Assignment-Copy2, C3W2_Grundman) even though I received a persmissions error after trying to make saves. Further, when I deleted the old file and recieved the permissions error, I reloaded the page and saw that the file was in fact deleted. I then renamed and saved (recieving te permissions flag) and then was able to complete and submit without issue. I have no insight as to what could be happening, hopefully it helps someone.
Thank you for the help,
Christian
