Hello!
Try running it at a different time. This user tried for a different time and succeed. Or perhaps try rebooting by clicking on the “Help” on the top right and when the panel opens, click on “Reboot”.
Meanwhile, you can submit your assignment as grader doesn’t need the output of your code.
Best,
Saif.
Hi @azhar_abbasi,
As @saifkhanengr recommends, try running it as a different time. I just ran the assignment from my end, and everything worked as expected.
Please let me know if the issue remains for you.
Best,
Mubsi
The issue is not resolved i checked last time then i submitted assignmet
Hi @azhar_abbasi,
indeed, the issue is still there in your workspace. I’ll discuss this with you in a DM now.
Best,
Mubsi
Hi, I experience the same problem as @azhar_abbasi. will it hurt if I submit the assignment as it is now (i.e., without waiting for the kernel issue to be fixed)??
Below is the screenshot when I attempt to train the model…
You can submit your assignment. Grader doesn’t need the output of your code.
Thanks @saifhanengr for the swift reply. I will go ahead to submit the assignment and train the model at a later time.
Yes, trying at different times may be fruitful. These two users tried at different times and succeed. User 1, User 2.
Hi @BHTan,
As @saifkhanengr recommended, please try it at a different time and let us know how it goes.
Best,
Mubsi
Hi @saifkhanengr, just quick update. I had tried it successfully this time. Many thanks.
That’s great.
@BHTan, @Robert_Russell, @Mariano_Domenech! As you tried running your assignment at different times. Can you please provide us the time (with time zone) when you successfully ran the assignment, without facing the kernel dies issue? This will help us to inform other users when to run the assignments. Many thanks in advance.
Best,
Saif.
In my case, I ran the assignment at 11:30am UK time, which is 10:30am UTC.
I speculate that with almost everyone in the USA asleep (3:30am < mainland USA < 6:30am when it is 10:30am UTC) there was more headroom for the kernel to run.
Note, this is pure speculation; I don’t know whether the USA is Coursera’s larger userbase, or whether demand for the kernel’s resources depends on the number of users working on their assignments.
I ran it successfully at 21:55 (UTC+8).
