C4W4 Practice Lab - Apache Superset is unable to connect on the endpoint in CloudFormation outputs

Hi, I’d almost completed the Week 4 practice lab at

but unfortunately the Apache Superset UI was unable to connect on the endpoint provided in CloudFormation outputs (for the record: http://35.172.86.82:8088/).

I have only 7 minutes remaining so it’s had plenty of time to load. I tried on several computer/browser combinations with the same result.

I’ll go ahead and submit the incomplete lab, but it would be good to be able to complete this fully before embarking on the Capstone Project.

Hope you can help.

Thanks

Iain

Hi, I’m having the same issue. I clicked refresh every few minutes for an hour an never got a connection. Lab is now also timing out. Please advise on fix

I have the same issue.

Hello everyone.
There seems to be a problem with the Superset UI. I will soon report this and will get back to you as soon as it’s fixed.
Thanks for letting us know.

I also have the same issue. But my subscribe was expired at 12.18. Can I get try to apache superset lab again?

I’m experiencing the same issue in Part 2 of the Capstone Lab, which is disappointing. Looks like I won’t be getting any hands-on experience with Apache Superset in this course.

@Amir_Zare : Any update on this? I left the lab unsubmitted and tried twice and facing the same issue. If the issue is not resolved, can i submit the lab without the superset part done in Week 4 practice lab? Does that impact my completion certificate

Hello @ManikandanBellan
Sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, this hasn’t been fixed yet. Our team are aware of it and are working on it however.
Yes, you can submit the lab without doing the part on Superset, and you will get the full grade. And, no; it won’t affect your certificate.

Thanks @Amir_Zare. I will go ahead and submit the lab

It looks like as of the 28th of December this problem is not fixed yet.

Hello @bclark
Sorry for the inconvenience. The holidays has slowed down the progress upon solving this issue. In the meantime, feel free to submit the lab without going through that part; you will get the full grade.

Hi @Amir_Zare ,
I’m experiencing some other issue for this lab, maybe it’s because it is getting fixed idk. It is now impossible to launch the lab for this graded item, I got an error pop up “failed to start the lab” and the clock indicates 0:00 instead of the usual 2:00 for the time remaining. I’m kind of locked to finish the entire course and get my certification, could you please get back to me with some help. Thanks!

Hello @Jef-Ed
Your lab needs to be refreshed. Please, fill out this lab refresh form and try again after you are notified that the lab has been refreshed.

Hi @Amir_Zare,
Thank you for your quick response!
I just completed the form, I’ll wait for the notification to try again running this lab in order to finish the full courses. I hope I’ll be able to have my certification shortly!

It usually takes 1 to 2 days for your lab to be refreshed

Since this is the midpoint of the holiday season, it may take several days longer.

HI @Amir_Zare,
the superset is working for me but, the credential provided for username and password seems to be wrong.

Hello @piyush
You’re right. That’s another problem we have with Superset. Please, skip that part of the lab for now.
