Changes were not saved or check point created. I didn’t face any error.
On Submitting none of my updates were submitted.

You can save by Ctrl + S or File → Save and Checkpoint.

Apologies, it was taking quite long time, that made the confusion here.
Automatic saves can take some time. ‘Save and Checkpoint’ is a good idea before you submit your notebook for grading.
