Coursera Progress deleted

Over the past week, I’ve been working through this course through Coursera, and had completed the previous 3 courses in the professional certificate as can be seen by the check marks:

I have my certificates, but my progress has been wiped out. Like the green check marks don’t show up, and my grades are all empty:

My free trial expired on the 14th, and I’m to be billed starting the 15th, which is today. Why should this mess up my progress though?

The team will look into this and provide feedback. Truly sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Is this a courera issue or a DeepLearning.ai issue? I have reached out to Coursera about this, and I would also appreciate your support here as well. I noticed the github for the course was recently updated. I would really appreciate a response. I’m kinda freaked out right now because I’ve been working quite diligently to get the professional certificate.

Speak to Coursera, like here

Ok, thank you. I’ll keep you updated in this thread.

@lukmanaj , I was wondering if you may check if the course was recently updated. Like were the labs and assignments overhauled?

Yes, it was updated. But it’s not supposed to affect learners currently enrolled.

@lukmanaj , unfortunately the representative was not able to help with my issue, and will escalate it further. To be crystal clear with the issue I’m facing, I have my certificate of completion for the first 3 courses in this specialization and I’m currently working through the 4th course.

However, when I try to review anything from the previous three courses, I don’t have access to my grades, assignments, or quizzes.

Course 1 Grades:

Course 2 Grades:

Course 3 Grades:

I also wanted to ask whether the update the course received has to do with standardizing the assignments. Like I’ve mentioned, I’ve finished the first 3 courses of this specialization. I noticed course 1 assignments were all administered through Jupyter Notebooks in Coursera, course 2 assignments were all administered through google colab, and course 3 assignments were again administered through Juypter Notebook.

Investigation is ongoing. We will have feedback once working hours begin in the US.

Hi, sorry for intruding on the conversation, but I want to support the issue that @AchintyaGahalaut is experiencing. I was just working on the first course, and after the update, all of my progress on assignments and quizzes was completely wiped out. I will be keeping an eye on this conversation to see when we receive a response for this issue.

The thread that @lukmanaj linked to (see above) says that Coursera switched some students into a different version of the course, and by contacting Coursera them you may be able to be put back in your previous version.

I recommend you read the other thread in detail.

@Carlos_Santiago_Roja

Your feedback has been reported to staff. Extremely sorry for the inconvenience. Staff is working on this issue as mentioned by the moderator, thank you for your patience.

Regards
DP

Update: By chatting with the Coursera support staff, I was able to get this issue fixed. They have the ability to restore progress. Definitely hit them up if you experienced the same issue I did.

Hi Carlos and Achintya. I’m sorry for the trouble. We already reported this to Coursera and they’re investigating the issue. I’m glad that Achintya already resolved it.

For now and as mentioned, Coursera recommends reaching out to Learner Support (instructions here) so they can restore your progress. Here is a template you can use when you get to chat with or email them:

Hi! I’m enrolled in insert course name here but my progress was reset. I was told this is because of a new course version. Please switch me back to the previous session so I can continue where I left off.

Hope this helps other learners!
