Introducing myself to connect with others.

I’m on a self-taught journey to become an AI engineer with a deep focus on LLMs and real-world product building. Currently following a 6-month roadmap I built for myself (Python → OpenAI APIs → Meta LLaMA → RAG → Agents → Deployment → Freelancing).

I don’t just want to use ChatGPT — I want to understand how LLMs work under the hood, how to build with APIs, and how to create tools that solve real problems. I care about mastering fundamentals, thinking deeply, and growing through hard truths, not hacks.

Looking forward to learning from others building serious things. If you’re working on LLM pipelines, LangChain, or agents — let’s connect.

I recommend you attend the Deep Learning Specialization. That covers the fundamentals including how LLM’s work.

Is this a roadmap for someone starting from scratch? I don’t see Maths, Machine learning, Deep Learning etc there

Starting from zero:

  • You’ll need an introduction course for Python programming.
  • The only math you will need is a bit of algebra (i.e. the equation of a straight line), and a little bit of statistics (mean and standard deviation). Perhaps you know those topics already.
  • Then attend the Machine Learning Specialization. It covers the basics of machine learning techniques. It will provide the rest of the math you need.

That will set you up for success in the Deep Learning Specialization.
