I am enrolled in “AI Python for Beginners” as a paid certificate course through Coursera. Yesterday I tried submitting my final programming assignment, and every time I received unhelpful errors messages stating that my submission could not be graded. I followed all the troubleshooting steps without luck. I had to leave the session, and when I came back today to try to resubmit I am getting a message “This item is locked because your schedule has ended.” I tried clicking the lock icon to “push my end date” but there is no option to do that, just the same lockout message.
This course is supposed to be open for much longer, and it is not a degree course, so I don’t understand why I cannot resubmit my final programming assignment. Everything in the course is locked now, so I can’t even go back and retrieve the error messages I was getting yesterday.
If the locked-out state cannot be fixed, I want a refund of my enrollment fee since the only thing I paid for was graded assignments and a certificate, neither of which I have received.
Please contact the Coursera Help Center. They manage the access to the course materials and your subscription terms. Ask them why it says your schedule has ended.

Sorry to hear about the inconvenience you are facing. As Tom mentioned, all of this (access and subscription related issues) fall under the umbrella of Coursera, and there’s not much I (DeepLearning.AI) can do about it.
You can reach out to Coursera support (via chat or email).

Thanks to both of you for the suggestions. Ironically, when I first submitted a problem report in Coursera the guidance I got was to join this community and post my problem. I’ll go back to Coursera and try again.
The Help Center always replies with two suggestions first:
- Clear your browser cache and cookies.
- Contact the course forum.
They do this even when the question is about Coursera’s own services.
Please explain your situation of being locked out of the course, and that it is not related to the course content itself, so DeepLearning.AI can’t help you with it.
I’ll only be able to help you with the assignment once you have access again.
