can AI impact in system automation in power distribution system
Welcome to the community.
Yes! A.I It can optimize operations, including the management of renewable energy, analyze sensor data to provide operational insights and solutions and improve the efficiency of the power distribution system.

Hi @jamilu_Ibrahim
As mentioned by @elirod AI can impact system automation in power distribution system in the areas of
- Data Analytics and Predictive Maintenance
- Optimized Energy Management
- Grid Stability and Cybersecurity
- Customer Engagement and Demand Response

in addition to the previous reply’s: I believe the answer is a clear yes, but it is also possible (and I believe this is also very useful) that the ML system is only used for a small fraction within the automatisation task for power distribution, e.g. for the predictive analytics within defined guardrails. Here is one example for a Method and device for operating a large number of battery-operated devices with replaceable device batteries and battery changing station with predictive allocation w/ reinforcement learning.
