Problem with submission : your solution should have 10-code cells but you have 12

Hello, I’m having a problem when submitting an assignment, the grader output says your solution should have 10-code cells but you have 12. Even though I’ve checked my solution doesn’t have 12 code cells, can anyone help with this problem? I’ve tried the solutionfrom other people’s answers, but it still didn’t work

I’m not a mentor for that course, but problems like this sometimes happen if you re-named your notebook ipynb file.

The grader always uses the original file name, regardless of whether you re-named it. So you might be grading a different notebook than you have opened to submit.

but i didn’t rename the notebook. So what should I do to solve this problem?

Check your notebook again. The grader rarely makes mistakes of this sort.

I’ve check several times but still didn’t solved the problem

Perhaps a mentor for that course will add a reply.

Hi Liza and welcome to the community! Please check your inbox. We might need to replicate the issue with your notebook. Thanks!

Hello, I’m having the same problem when submitting the assignment for 32 times, and until this time I still didn’t get the solution. Can someone help me with this problem?

Hello, you can try to rename your notebook now (file > rename). Then, go to the new notebook from coursera and you must rework it (I’ve tried this solution and it succeed)

i already did this but still it didn’t work, please help me,is there any other solution?

Maybe check the “Help” page for that notebook, and see if it has been updated recently. You may be using an obsolete copy.

are u already ensure that you’ve done open the new notebook?

I already solved this problem. If you have this problem, you can try :

  1. Click “File → Rename”
  2. Rename your notebook with a different name from the original notebook (example : abcd123" or you can rename anything you wan’t
  3. If you’ve rename your notebook, back to coursera again (in this case, you must open C3W1 and open the programming assignment again).
  4. Klik “Launch Notebook” from coursera and then the new notebook will be open (make sure that the newly opened notebook is different from the notebook you have worked on before)
  5. Rework it

I hope my experience can solved your problem too!

Hi, I just solved it with the same problem, to solve the problem I restarted the lab from the beginning again, for cell 1 I moved it to cell 2, and remember don’t run cell 1, immediately run the second cell, and this worked after I tried it.
