Trick for video not loading beyong 'Inferring'

The course material is excellent, but the videos do not load beyond ‘Inferring’ chapter. I had to right-click on the video, copy the video address and play it on another tab to make it work! Obviously, the green ticks do not show in this method though.

Sounds like your machine.
Mine loaded fine
:man_shrugging:

The only one that didn’t work for me is “Summarizing” for some reason, all the others loaded fine. Latest Chrome on OS X.

I agree. Not loading beyond first 4 lessons. I had raised a support ticket with DLAI.

Hi All,

The first 4 topics are opening with video. There is some issue on loading videos. Please fix this .

Hi @Sp1976 - we just pushed out a fix to our CDN servers so the videos should work more consistently now. Can you please try again? Thanks!

Here are some ways to get around the ui issues:

  1. If you can’t download an open jupyter notebook via File > Download as > Notebook (.ipynb), click on the jupyter dashboard icon on top left of the jupyter frame and then select the file using checkbox > Download
  2. Right click on video section and click on Save video as... if available else copy the video link via Copy link address and use either on a new tab or wget to download the video.

Hi
Thanks , it working fine now.

HI @Chandana_Puthane,
Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Clear browser cache and cookies: Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies, as they can sometimes interfere with video playback. You can do this by going to your browser settings and selecting the option to clear browsing data.

Try a different browser: If the videos still don’t play, try using a different browser to see if that resolves the issue. For example, if you’re using Google Chrome, try switching to Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge.

I hope one of these steps resolves your issue and you can enjoy your course videos without any further problem

Instead of downloading videos manually, it would be better if learning platform provided videos in multiple additional formats. VP9 for compatibility, AV1 for saving bandwidth. Browsers are able to choose video they can play if multiple are provided. I asked about it here but so far no upvotes.
