But the submission does not seem to be done because the “My Submissions” tab is not updated (I think more than 30 minutes have passed since my first submission).
One possibility is that the memory image of your notebook is too large, because of the output of running the training. Try “Kernel → Restart and Clear Output” and then “Save” and then click “Submit Assignment” again and see if that helps.
That’s great news! So I guess the theory was correct that the problem was the memory footprint created by running the training. In a lot of the GANs notebooks, you have to run the training for a long time to get good results and that generates a lot of output.
Same problem here. So I did Restart and Clear Output and even lost the Submit button. I think I’ll start from scratch …
I ask myself why a notebook with such an amount of output for training (or with such a memory footprint) is presented to the students as everybody will have such technical problems with it.
I’ve started from scratch and submitted before running the CycleGAN Training code. Passed the assignment and entire course.
