For some reason the Week 3 Lab 2 Streaming Queries with Apache Flink is not starting for me, I see the timer as 00:00 and when I click Start Lab after about 2-3 minutes of waiting I get the failed to start the lab error as you can see below:
I have already filled out the lab refresh form and wrote my Coursera email in it, should I just wait then? Any help or responses are appreciated as this is the last lab I need to finish to complete the Course 3.
Hello @hrosch
Sorry for the inconvenience. If you have filled out the form, please wait until you are notified that your lab has been refreshed. You will get notified here in the discourse.
Our engineer was not able to locate the associated AWS account on our backend. I think this issue might not be related to “Account still in cleanup”.
@esanina@Cristian_M_Amaya would you mind taking a look at this? What could be causing this “failed to start the lab” error?
In case it is too cumbersome to fix the lab, is there any chance to get a passing grade for this lab manually? I am in the same boat as @jemwhosoever, as this is the only lab missing to complete the whole professional certificate
@hrosch@jemwhosoever thank you for your patience. We have refreshed your lab accounts for this lab. Please try again and let me know how it goes - we might have to escalate the problem to the Vocareum engineers.
Hello @Diego_Estrada
The problem might be with one of the configuration items on your cloud9 environment. Please, make sure that you are choosing the right instance type, SSH for network settings, and the right subnet and VPC.
I also have same problem, of AWS environment not starting for this lab (C3W3Lab2). All other labs in the course are starting well (I checked it). I tried to log out and log in from coursera, and also tried several browsers. None worked. Only this specific lab, will not launch AWS environment. Can you fix please asap
