My assignment is due tomorrow and im facing issues with submission
Two issues
Auto save is not working,
Programming Assignment: Transformers Architecture with TensorFlow
My changes are not taking effect
Autosave never works reliably.
Use the File menu and save your notebook manually.
Note: Do not rename your notebook.
Can you pls suggest if the grader will pick up if u save locally?
No, the grader won’t pick up your notebook from a local file. But it doesn’t need to.
Using File → “Save and Checkpoint” from the Coursera notebook environment will update the copy of your notebook on the Coursera platform. That is where the grader looks for it.
I do save and checkpoint but it is not working ,basically it is not taking the instruction to save and checkpoint, how can i overcome this?pls suggest
You filed this for the Coursera Platform and for Week 4 of DLS C5. I just wanted to confirm that the above is what you intended and that you have not experienced similar problems with any of the previous assignments in DLS C5. If those are both true statements, then the next question is whether anything has changed in your environment. E.g. are you using the same computer, browser and network for this assignment?
If nothing has changed and it has all worked up to this point, then there must be something wrong with that notebook. One experiment to try would be getting a clean copy of that notebook and trying the assignment again. There is an item on the DLS FAQ Thread that explains how to do that. Sorry, I’m using my iPad and am not able to copy/paste the link for the DLS FAQ Thread, so you’ll have to search for that to find it.
One other thing to mention is that there is no need to stress out about the deadline for the assignment. All the deadlines here are merely advisory: if you miss them, you don’t lose any points or face any penalty. All that happens is that they will ask if you want to reset the deadlines. Of course if you are taking this through a university, there may be other “real world” deadlines that you face, but Coursera deadlines are “fake”.
Thanks paul,Actually teh specialization itself ends on may 10th and labs are not accessible after that,Its the same computer im using and nothing has changed,im also facin a similar issue with 2 of the labs in Natural language procesing,Basically im not able to do a manual checkpoint nor downlaod it locally
Is your subscription ending on May 10? Or is that just the course “deadline”?
subscription ending on may 10th
Sorry, but I have never heard of this problem before, and I have no idea what would cause it. So I don’t have any suggestions.
Sorry, I don’t have any experience with this either. The evidence seems to suggest it’s a problem with your Coursera account. One thing to try would be to clear all your browser cookies for Coursera, log out and then log in again and see if that helps.
Also it might be scientific evidence that would help them help you if you went back to an assignment that you successfully completed and see if you can make any further changes to one of those notebooks. My guess is that will also fail.
You may be at the mercy of Coursera Help, but the news on that front is not that hopeful.
