Facing technical problem on the quiz

The quiz name: The Basics of ConvNets

  1. I was start the quiz of W1 but it is showing me “The time allotted has expired, please submit.”
  2. Then I try to summit twice same the situation with link:
    C1 W4: Facing technical problem on the quiz
    But It’s still not working
  3. and Absolute three time then I reached the limit of doing exam quizz in a day (Aug, 30th)
    What to do? Please kindly help me with this

Check whether your computer’s clock and time zone are set correctly.

I have the same problem. Below, I will attach a link to a video so that others can visually see what the issue might be.
I am attempting to retake a test, yet I’m encountering a message indicating that the time has expired right from the beginning of the test (please refer to the video below). Today I also came across a situation where the system provided me with a test featuring questions, and several of these questions already had answers if they were present in the previous attempt. The second issue, which is visible in the video, is that video content after finishing is not being marked as viewed. This functionality is working correctly in the smartphone app, but it is not being registered in the web version for any course.

Moreover, I’ve opened my answers for the 4th week of the Convolutional Neural Networks course (see screenshots below). I emphasize that these are already the answers I received after completing them by clicking the “View Feedback” button. It’s evident from them that I’ve already passed the quiz, my answers are visible, but at the same time, it states that “time allotted has expired, please submit”. But how? I’ve already completed this test…

One important note, after completing the test, I noticed that the timer continued running and didn’t stop. Currently, in the answers, I see both the response and a warning “time allotted has expired, please submit”. Just a reminder, this answers, not test. I cannot submit it.

I’ll also provide answers to some popular questions:

  • Have I refreshed the page? Yes.
  • Have I cleared cookies? Yes.
  • Have I tried a different browser? Yes.
  • Have I contacted support? Yes, they redirected me to the forum.
  • Have I tried logging out of the account and logging back in? Yes.
  • Have I tried restarting the computer? Yes.
  • Did anything help? No.

I’d also like to note that I wanted to unsubscribe from the course and subscribe again to reset the progress, but the unsubscribe button is inactive and also, I don’t really want to lose all the progress :slight_smile: Also, this applies not to a specific course, but to all of them. Therefore, I don’t think it will help.

Hi, I’m having the same issue as @jegalovko on Course 4 - Week 2 (screenshot attached)

After taking the first attempt, while looking at the feedback, I noticed the time clock did not stop running, I went through the lectures again to study, when I finally was ready to try the second attempt, it gave me that screen, and had to submit second attempt even though I haven’t attempted the second time (the clock from the first time never reset for the subsequent attempts), the third time is still doing the same thing. (see screenshot for reference)

I logged out, logged back in, refreshed browser, cleared cache on my browser. please help. thank you.

Same problem with me, receiving the message “The time allotted has expired, please submit.” even after waiting more than 3 hours.

I also have this issue.

I thought waiting the 24 hours for the next submission period would clear things up, but nope! Still out of time.

Hello everyone, I’m stuck in QUIZ week 3, same issue as described here, and as described by the earlier user when trying different methods and nothing fixes it. PLEASE HELP!! I just chatted with the support team. Coursera’s engineering team is aware of the time expired quiz issue and has an open ticket to resolve this issue. She added my ticket to the issue and they said if it’s still happening after 2 weeks to contact them again so I guess we just have to wait.

Coursera’s Help Center always says it will take two weeks to fix anything, regardless of the issue.

In practice it can take much less (or much more) than what the Help Center’s script says.

Hi, I’d just add that I’ve encountered this issue on the first quiz (Neural Networks basics).

I reviewed the quiz questions out of curiosity, then came back later and saw the message about the allotted time expiring.

I then submitted the quiz (following the instruction) but then when I opened the quiz to make another attempt, all the questions are already showing as expired.

I am also facing the same issue in the Quiz for Week 2, Convolutional Neural Network. I am not able to attempt the quiz, the multiple choice is blocked with the error message “The time allotted has expired, please submit.” (I had given the quiz after the 24 hour deadline for re-attempt).
