I can’t get the first month free, it gives 50% at checkout. Can someone help me?
If this is for a course provided through Coursera, please contact the Coursera Help Center.
Same here. Still 50% discount. Not resolved yet.
I raised the support case to Coursera here https://www.coursera.support/s/learner-help-center-contact-us
I suggest you to also raise a support case to Coursera, to escalate the issue.
Cousera replied to me:
"Please note this support case is now closed because we opened an internal case to investigate this issue with our engineering team.
Thank you for your patience while our engineers work to resolve this issue.
If you continue to experience this issue after 14 days, you can contact us for an update."
Done. I too have raised it to Coursera.
same here!
Hi, I’m bit late to this but is there a link or code where you can apply for first month free? I’ve just signed up to the forum today preparing myself to take some of the course and I saw this post
Link
This is the link, but as I said, it seems to be not working. I hope they resolve this issue.
@Community-Team, can you investigate whether there is an issue with one-month-free registration?
Hello everyone. We are looking into this at the moment.
Yes. The link is not working for the discounts. I have gone through 3 of the courses on audit mode and was looking to finishing one of them, as it fell under this offer. Sadly it’s not working
It is coming to one week.
I’m not sure if Deeplearning and Coursera understand the severity of this from the standpoint of marketing and business reputation.
That’s why even if smart people criticized Sam Altman recently, he still thrives because he understands marketing and managing of people smarter than him.
Some of us, customers of Coursera and maybe Deeplearning too, have told other people about your offer and now our reputation is also on the line.
Hope there is a lesson here to be learnt because I really love Deeplearning.ai learning structure.
I don’t think that comment is necessary, nor helpful. Instead of making comparison, why not give constructive feedback?
That being said, @Community-Team could you give us an update regarding the situation? We are curious to know the status of this issue.
I think it is helpful.
Businesses do comparison all the time to get profit from us. I don’t think they are sensitive to that:)
From that other thread, I understand that people are feeling being mislead.
So it is a helpful feedback session here for them to improve.
Businesses do Focus Group and no hold barred feedback session all the time to improve their product. They wouldn’t do that if they don’t find it helpful.
I am actually willing to pay 50% off for 2 months if that was the intention. It just have to be communicated to us clearly if not we are doing the waiting game to see if there was an error or a miscommunication.
Making the customer wait makes you lose money. Here comes another comparison: Like what Amazon have learnt so well.
hello all,
To give an update on the issue.
Both the Coursera and community team has contacted me. they initially asked whether I had tried subscribing using different computers and web browsers. My impression was that they think the problem is on the user’s end. which is not as others are experiencing the same issue.
Anyhow, after exchanging info and snapshots of the purchase cart on Coursera, I’ve received emails from both parties that the ticket is closed, meaning that they won’t do more investigations.
I already made peace with it and subscribed to the course that I had been eyeing for a long time and started learning. I still think 50% off is a good deal, although I wish I didn’t have to wait and invest time looking into this issue.
I am highly disappointed with this issue. The Coursera website still states, “Start this Specialization or Course & your first month of learning is free,” which is misleading and unacceptable. This kind of misinformation undermines trust in the platform.
@Community-Team, is there any progress on updating or clarifying the description of the “first month is free” offer?
Hello everyone,
I sent an email to all users who experienced issues with the “first month free” offer. Our team has been investigating these issues and has been responding to those emails.
I will follow up with the team to get an update on their progress.
i am getting the same as all others, just a 50% discount. What should i do, just wait for the problem to get fixed on the coursera site? @Community-Team
I have the same problem. What should I do?
Hello,
IMHO, sending an email to all users is not very helpful in this case.
Could you please share the status here, so everyone affected can see the progress/status/solution and know that you care about us? Thank you in advance.
