Issues with running JupyterLab space within SageMaker studio for Lab 1

The issue concerns Lab 1 (week 1) in the GenAi LLM course

  • in the original instructions you are directed to Studio Classic, however, since Jan 1 2025 you have to migrate to JupyterLab 4 (as per error message). when I go to Jupyter, and start launching my space there it gives “Error: unable to complete operation. Please try again”
  • so the question is where I can find operatable workspace to complete the lab? thanks.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum! There are indeed new instructions to launch the notebook which is not yet reflected on the video. It is written on the Vocareum page when you start the lab from Coursera. Please scroll through it and follow the instructions accordingly. If you still run through an error, please let us know which step you got blocked and also provide a screenshot of the entire window (including the error message). Hope this helps. Thank you!
