We don’t know the timeline for the fix, but for any subscription matter, please contact cousera and explain your situation to them, and see what they can do about it. It is likely they are not going to respond during the weekend, but Coursera is really the only contact point for any account matter.

The same issue still persists,it neither allows to doplicate nor renaming of lab file please.

It turned out that I had made mistakes in the previous version of the steps. When you have time, would you please give the updated version a try again? Let me know how it goes?

I understand some people are still having issues, but just in case, this is what I did with a video that shows the “submit” button appear: Coursera Submit Workaround - YouTube
Hopefully it helps someone, happy studying.
Problem is solved for me. you have to download all files from root folder(something like release/W1A2) and upload it to new release/W1A2 folder. Here is step by step procedure How to Fix read-only/unable to save/unable to submit assignment Issue
Thanks Raymond. Manually creating a dir first before updating lab files works.
Also I assume work home directory has changed for me. As per my name may be this is not the right home directory for me.

I run into the same error for Course 1, Week 1, Assignment 1.
I am not able to submit.
Restart Kernel does not help.
Solved by using the rename/create new release
and Help menu operations.

Hello @saifkhanengr - Do we have any update from Coursera team? What is the ETA? This has been 4 days and all the paid subscription has end dates. Will there be extension for everyone considering this has been going for a 4+ days now?
Many learners told us that this workaround can help them get a new copy of assignment that has the permission to save work and submit work as usual. This is something you could try to keep moving on.
As for extension, it is an account-related matter and I suggest you to contact with Coursera about your situation since they manage your account.
