SOLVED - Hello, I am working on the first lab assignment: Lab 1 - Generative AI Use Case: Summarize Dialogue, I managed to access the lab and the notebook, but my kernel kept failing to launch, until my access was removed and my AWS account has been deactivated. Now I can’t access AWS at all. Can you offer some support? Thank you in advance!

me, week one lab, it is the first time, and then every time after, it now claims i used all my lab time even tho i never even got into the lab and now cant do the week one lab

Hello All I can’t access my lab its been a week aready it always reverts to a session timeout then I start the lab.

Feedback appreciated.

I am not able to select 8CPU and 32GB ram instance as described in the lab. I am getting access denied issue. I have attached a screen shot for your reference. I am trying to run week 1 and lab 1

    Week1
  • if you’re accessing the lab for the first time, or if it’s a retake
    It is a retake. In the first time, the kernel died.
  • (optional) screenshots of the error messages you’re getting
    It says account deactivated:

Hi Nelson. Can you provide a screenshot after pressing the AWS button on the upper left? That should turn green after you click Start Lab. Please show the whole screen. Thanks.

Hi Baranidaran. Please try the default settings. When I did the lab, I didn’t have to check that part. We’ll update the instructions if needed. Hope it also works for you. Thanks.

I have same problem, The AWS indicator is green, the course says started, but when I click on the AWS text to launch console nothing happens.

I waited about an hour and everything seemed to reset and I was able to access it again.

Hello again Baranidaran. Sorry it looks like the lab behaves a bit differently this time. Please ignore my previous advice. Before, the correct instance type is already chosen at start-up. From your screenshot, it looks like you’re selecting a different instance type. Please check that it is the same as the one shown in the screenshot in the notebook. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi chris.
I encountered an error when I tried to start the lab in week 1. The error message said: “AWS account deactivated at 2023-08-20T04:42:14-07:00”.

Hi,
I have tried for more than a week now to start AWS by pressing the button but it has never worked.
I have been trying the first week lab so far.
